We would love for you to join GMSC.


Feel free to check out the club on race days (see event calendar) when you can talk with other sailors.  Send any questions you may have to our membership chair on the Club Officers & Contacts page. 

Please read the details below regarding our different membership levels. 
Membership requests submitted online should be followed up with payment of the appropriate membership fee of $250 or $125 plus one month's dues mailed to PO Box 55237, Little Rock,  AR  72215. Your subsequent month's dues will be deducted from your bank account.

Please click New Member Signup to complete an online membership request.   The GMSC Board of Directors will review requests during the monthly board meeting on the first Monday of each month.

Membership Categories

Regular Membership

Dues and Fees

  • Dues - $60 / month
  • Initiation fee - $250
  • Family membership includes spouse and unmarried dependents under the age of 25. Individual membership for persons at least 21 years of age. Full or partial equity ownership of a boat is required for new member applicants. Each equity owner of a sailboat at the club must be a regular member. 

Privileges

  • Full access to GMSC
  • Clubhouse Key
  • Mainsheet
  • Use of club-owned sailboats; and also fleet-owned boats, at fleet’s discretion
  • Can serve on GMSC Board of Directors
  • Member voting privileges, one vote per membership

Associate Membership

Dues and Fees

  • Dues -  $20 / month for an individual and $30 / month for a family.
  • Initiation fee - $125

Privileges

  • Full access to GMSC
  • Clubhouse Key
  • Mainsheet
  • Use of club-owned sailboats; and also fleet-owned boats at the fleet’s discretion
  • Can skipper another member's boat in club races at the discretion of the Board
  • Can serve on the GMSC Board of Directors
  • When upgrading to regular membership, the initiation fee will be discounted by the monthly dues amount previously paid
  • Children of current GMSC regular and associate members may join as associate members with a waiver of the initiation fee

Restrictions

  • Cannot hold flag officer position on the Board of Directors
  • No membership voting privileges, no boat ownership
  • Family membership includes spouse and unmarried dependents under the age of 25
  • Individuals must be at least 21 years old
  • Tenure – No limit

Junior Membership 

Dues and Fees

  • Dues - $20 / month per individual
  • Initiation fee - $125
  • This type of membership allows limited, supervised use of the GMSC facilities by junior sailors who are learning to race. Juniors are eligible to be members in this category at age 7 until age 21.

Privileges 

  • Mainsheet
  • Use of club-owned sailboats; and also fleet-owned boats at the fleet’s discretion
  • Can skipper another member's boat in club races at the discretion of the Board.
  • When upgrading to regular membership, the initiation fee will be discounted by the monthlydues amount previously paid.
  • May own a boat and store the boat on the club grounds

Restrictions 

  • Cannot hold flag officer position on the board of directors
  • No membership voting privileges
  • Must abide by GMSC Junior Behavior Guidelines
  • Tenure – Must be less than 21 years old

Honorary Membership

Dues and Fees

  • Dues - $0 / month
  • Fees - $0
  • Must be proposed and approved by the board of directors

Privileges 

  • Clubhouse Key
  • Mainsheet
  • Full access to GMSC

Restrictions

  • Cannot hold office
  • No voting privileges
  • No boat ownership
