REMINDER: THE CHRISTMAS VACATION THEMED FALL REGATTA IS DECEMBER 6-7! Get ready to deck your hulls and jingle your bells!
Skippers and Party Goers,
Stay off the "nauti list" – please register for the regatta at 2025 Fall Keelboat Regatta - 2025 Fall Keelboat Regatta - Events - Grande Maumelle Sailing Club. If you are not racing and just coming for the Christmas cheer, purchase your dinner tickets using this link too!
VOLUNTEER NEEDS:
Santa’s crew needs YOU to help with the jolliest regatta this club has ever seen! If you able to lend a hand on deck, please sign-up!
Christmas "Spirit" Race Committee: Have you ever wanted to yell “Ho-ho-ho, and away you GO” while sporting a Santa hat and waving a flag like you are guiding a sleigh full of would-be reindeer – er, sailors -- through a starting line? Well now’s your chance! Sign up for the race committee and help us keep things merry and bright. Use this link so the RC and other interested elves can track who's bringing the mistletoe: Volunteering - Grande Maumelle Sailing Club
Other missions from Santa – If you are the right elf for the job, please email Mary at marymichaels@me.com
- Christmas Cookie Bake-off: Who’s willing to bake cookies worthy of Mrs. Claus’s approval? Remember, calories are magically canceled during regattas.
- Clubhouse Clean-up Elves: Help us clean up after dinner. Many elves make light work—plus, rumor has it Santa grades on a curve for “nice list” placement.
- Santa’s Sleigh: We need a festive soul to dash away to The Pantry at 4:30 on Saturday, load the sleigh with dinner and deliver it to the club. Bonus points if you wear a red suit, blast carols from your vehicle, or arrive with actual reindeer (Car antlers count!).
GIVING BACK:
As a reminder, we're spreading cheer off the water by supporting the Roland Crisis Center, which has been serving Roland and areas surrounding our lake since 1994. Please bring socks, gloves, coats, or blankets (gently used are great!), nonperishable foods, or toiletries—money is always good too! Every dollar raised from our holiday raffle will also go to the Crisis Center, so you can feel good about your holiday shenanigans. You can find more information here: Roland Crisis Center.
