Racing this Sunday!

The weather will be cold and windy, so be sure to layer appropriately! The forecast has fluctuated and we're unable to make a determination in advance. The go-no-go index will likely be at the discretion of the race committee. See you at the lake!

Join Us After the Race at the Clubhouse.

All are welcome to the clubhouse for our seminar series, "One Rule at a Time." If you have a rule you'd like clarified, submit your query for consideration! We'll host a Loaded Naco Bar! We'll have cheese dip, ground beef, and all the fixings!

Water Level - Docks

By David Nigus

The lake level is on the way down once again. We got a short reprieve when the valve was closed on January 24th. This resulted in the level rising to 83.3 feet on January 31st.  Hopefully everyone took advantage of the increase to move their grounded boats into deeper water.

Currently the valve is open 100% and will continue to be open until the level reaches 80 feet. The dam repair project will commence once the construction project is completed at Jackson Reservoir. At this time CAW does not have an estimated completion date on the Lake Maumelle repair project.

The lowest level in this cycle was 81.14 feet, which meant it had another 1.14 feet to go. Most of us saw what that looked like a couple weeks ago. The lake level has been decreasing at a rate of approximately 1.3 inches daily since the January 31st high point. Based on this it can be projected that the 80 foot goal will occur somewhere around the middle of March. We will continue to provide updates. In the meantime, please check your boats and slips.

Member Dues for February

Please note! Membership dues in February will be processed later in the month than normal. We are moving to a new payment system and the transition is causing a short delay.  There’s nothing to do on your end, though the transaction may appear slightly different on your bank statement than previously.  We should be back to our regular timeline in March.  Thanks for your patience during this transition.

No Dumping at the Club!

GMSC is a volunteer run club.  When trash is dumped or left behind, one of our members has to clean it up. We're already multi-tasking to handle the important needs of the club.

Unfortunately, someone is dumping old mattresses and other stuff at the club. Whoever did this literally passed two large dumpsters on their way in. This is the second time in as many months. As a result, we've had to take steps to increase our security. If you have any information about these unfortunate events, please contact the Commodore.

Please treat our club like your second home, respect it. Non-organic materials are not to be added to the burn pile.

Also, please help us monitor the grounds while you at the club. If you see any suspicious behavior or non-members (unaccompanied) on the club grounds, please report it.

WELCOME to our New Members!

Let's all give a warm welcome to our new members.

David and Shannon Shenker and Kris and Denise Shewmake have joined the club.  They are co-owners of a Helms 27 purchased from the Laughter family.  The Shenkers are also new owners of a Thistle.

We also welcome Richard Sims from Memphis.  He also owns a Thistle. Our Thistle fleet is growing!  YEAH!

Kian Ziai has joined as an associate member.

Robert Voyles, Chris Mueller and James Laughter have resigned from the club.  Guari deCastro's membership has been revoked due to non-payment of dues.
