New CAW Brochures Available at the Clubhouse
Central Arkansas Water (CAW) has provided fresh copies of the Lake Rules & Stewardship Guide, now available for pickup in the clubhouse. These brochures outline the simple but important steps we can all take to help protect Lake Maumelle—the source of drinking water for more than 500,000 people in Central Arkansas.

A key feature of the brochure is a detailed map of Lake Maumelle, which is especially handy when planning your next lake adventure. Whether you’re scouting launch points, gauging distances, or introducing newcomers to the layout of the lake, the map is a useful tool to keep on board.
As sailors, we enjoy a unique privilege: CAW permits sailing and other low-impact recreation on the lake as long as these activities remain compatible with safeguarding the water supply. That means every skipper, crew, and guest plays a role in stewardship.
GMSC partners with CAW in a variety of ways—hosting cleanup days, sharing resources, and maintaining our facilities to their standards. But the most important contribution comes from individual members: knowing the rules, setting a good example, and supporting CAW’s mission to keep the lake clean and safe.
