The Grande Maumelle Sailing Club recently transformed into an elite sailing venue as we proudly hosted the Championship of Champions regatta. Held from October 2-6, this prestigious event brought national champions from across the country to our waters, creating an unforgettable weekend of competitive spirit, camaraderie, and community connection.
Over two days of racing, sailors tested their skills on our home waters, braving shifting winds and challenging courses that required technical prowess and teamwork. But beyond the competition, the regatta offered something special: a chance to connect with fellow sailors, exchange stories, and learn from each other. With each race, our club was the perfect backdrop—beautiful, welcoming, and full of life.
After long hours on the water, club members, guests, and visiting sailors gathered each evening for post-race festivities. These gatherings were filled with laughter, stories of the day’s sailing, and good food and drinks. Seeing our community come together this way reminded us why Lake Maumelle isn’t just a sailing destination—it’s home.
